These apple, cinnamon, and fig waffles are to die for! Fruity, indulgent, and autumn-inspired, these waffles you won’t want to stop eating, made easier with our Digital Waffle Maker.
Ingredients -
1. Waffle batter (makes 6):
- 150g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 medium eggs
- 240ml full-fat milk
2. Stewed Apples:
- 3 peeled apples
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 orange, squeezed
3. Figs:
- 3 figs, halved
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Method -
1. Simply add the batter ingredients into your Stand Mixer and whisk until silky smooth.
2. Slice the apples into cubes and add into a cast iron pan.
3. Stew the apples in the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and orange for 15 minutes until golden and jammy.
4. Slice the figs in half and place face down in a non-stick pan, with butter and sugar until golden brown.
4. Pre-heat your Waffle Maker, then scoop in a generous spoonful of waffle batter into each section.
5. When your waffles are ready (you’ll see by the countdown timer!) use the handy spatular to lift them out.
To Serve -
1. Plate up and top with your stewed apples, figs, and a dusting of cinnamon.
2. Drizzle generously with maple syrup and a dollop of yoghurt.
3. Enjoy & repeat!
