Our Approach to Sustainability
At Cooks Professional, sustainability is not a single initiative - it’s a commitment woven into everything we do. From transport and packaging to sourcing and product design, we focus on practical, responsible choices that reduce environmental impact and ensure our products are built to last.

Practical Sustainability
For more than five years, we’ve been making continuous improvements across our operations:
- Prioritising sea freight over air freight to reduce emissions.
- Using electric vehicles for company road travel.
- Partnering with couriers who share environmental commitments.
- Operating from a warehouse powered by biomass and solar.
- Refining designs to reduce returns and extend product lifespan.

Responsible Packaging
We are committed to reducing packaging waste and improving recyclability:
- Transitioning away from single-use plastics wherever practically possible.
- Using moulded cardboard instead of polystyrene for recyclable strength.
- Leaving boxes unvarnished and replacing poly bags with tissue paper.
- Reviewing packaging choices continually to balance recyclability and transport needs.

Repair, Reduce, Reuse
Extending product life is central to our sustainability approach:
- Selling dozens of common spare parts to keep products working longer.
- Offering repair services for higher-value products—rare in our sector.
- Grading, repairing, and reselling customer returns at reduced rates.

Responsible Sourcing
We believe strong partnerships start with trust and transparency:
- Our own team visits supplier factories to see firs thand how products are made.
- We select manufacturing partners who share our goals for quality and improvement.
- Independent inspections and initiatives such as BSCI and SEDEX help us maintain responsible practices and transparency across our supply chain.
