Our Pie Makers are the hero of cosy season – and once you’ve got your hands on one, you’ll see why! They’re not just for savoury treats either. We’ve been baking up these delicious Apple & Blackberry pies – flaky pastry, bubbling fruit and zero faff. Yes please! 
Ingredients:
2 Bramley apples, cored & diced
300g blackberries
75g granulated sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Juice of l lemon
2 x rolls of Jus Rol Shortcrust Pastry
Method:
1. Combine the Bramley apples, blackberries, lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
2. Roll out the shortcrust pastry. Use the large side of the handy cutter to cut the pie bases.
3. Spoon in the filling, being careful not to overfill.
4. Use the smaller side of the cutter to cut the pie lids and place these on top of the filled bases.
5. Close the machine, lock it shut and turn the power on.
6. Bake for around 15-20 minutes, or until golden and evenly browned.
Serve:
Spoon out a generous helping of ice cream and some fresh apples for garnish and enjoy. This is one of those recipes you will just keep coming back to.
