We whipped up a super-easy falafel mix in our Food Processor, then an incredibly simple dressing in our NutriBlend.
Served over a protein-packed salad, this was one of those spontaneous lunches made with everyday ingredients - and gadgets to do the hard work for us!
Ingredients
For the Falafels
500g chickpeas
1 heaped tbsp harissa paste
1 heaped tbsp plain flour
Bunch of fresh parsley (dried works too!)
Zest of 1 lemon
For the Dressing
2 tbsp tahini
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon (the same one you zested!)
½ fresh red chilli (more if you like it hotter)
Method
Add all the falafel ingredients to your Food Processor bowl with the blade attachment fitted. Blitz until smooth, adding a splash of water if the mix feels too dry.
Remove the bowl from the processor base, carefully take out the blade and scoop the mixture into a separate bowl.
With a bowl of warm water nearby, wet your hands and roll the mix into balls. You should get around 9-12 falafels.
Heat a frying pan until hot (we used our 28cm Tri-Ply Frying Pan) and fry the falafels until golden and crispy on all sides.
For the dressing, add all the ingredients to your NutriBlend and blitz until smooth. Add a little water if you prefer a looser consistency.
Serve over salad - warm falafels on top - or dish up into wraps or pittas. Enjoy!
